Chris Evans Reveals Captain America Has Ditched The Beard For Avengers 4

Avengers: Infinity War was packed with fan-pleasing moments like Iron Man meeting Star-Lord and the battle in Wakanda, but maybe nothing was better than Captain America's beard -- according to some internet circles at least. Nothing says a character is going through a rough patch better than a beard, and Captain America had grown one glorious beard in his transition to Nomad. However, the beard will not be returning for Avengers 4, as Chris Evans subtly confirmed in a picture related to returning to set for reshoots. Check it out below.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Cap, and his team have been on the run for a few years after becoming wanted "criminals" in Captain America: Civil War. The whole ordeal hasn't left Cap any less committed to helping others, but it has given him some edge as he becomes increasingly disillusioned with those in power. The only way to convey such inner struggle is with a beard, and Chris Evans can grow a pretty awesome one. However, the days of the beard appear to be over as Captain America returns to his clean-cut former glory.

Evans shared a picture of his clean-shaven face ( and his lovable dog) with the captain "senior year," referring to how Avengers 4 will likely be the last hurrah for several longtime MCU actors. Good luck getting any actual plot details out of Evans, but at least the picture partly confirms that Captain America will be returning to his old looks for one last battle with Thanos for the fate of the universe.

A new Captain America costume was first teased in some leaked concept art, which showcased all the returning Avengers in new outfits, in addition to Ant-Man, Nebula, Rocket Raccoon, and Captain Marvel. In the image, Cap was sporting a new, blue costume (minus the shield) with a clean-shaven face. It's unknown if Cap only takes this appearance later in the film or at the start, but it's interesting that Cap is returning to a more heroic appearance considering that half of the universe is now gone.

We are likely still a while away from any official details about Avengers 4, but while we wait for a synopsis, title, images, or footage, be sure to stick with CinemaBlend, and we'll be sure to keep you updated with new information as soon as it becomes available. Disneyland made waves recently when, buried among some new details about the cantina that will be part of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, it was revealed that adult beverages will be for sale there, something that hasn't been the case at Disneyland since it opened in 1955. Recently, Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, was asked about this major break with tradition, and while Iger says he believes in tradition, he doesn't think this change will really have a significant impact. Yeah, except I think Walt had a nip or two in his apartment at night. (Laughs.) I am a big believer in tradition. This just seemed like one of those traditions that if we changed it the empire wasn't going to crumble.

While it's absolutely true that Walt Disney did drink, and as he suggests to THR, probably had a drink now and then in his apartment above the firehouse on Main Street U.S.A., he decided that Disneyland itself should not serve alcohol. It was part of Walt's desire that Disneyland be something separate from the amusement parks and carnivals that had been its antecedent. Those places frequently saw rides designed solely for kids, leaving adults to do little more than drink to enjoy themselves. By not serving booze, nobody would get out of hand, leaving Disneyland to be fun for everybody.

In the grand scheme of things Bob Iger is probably right. The addition of alcohol at Disneyland probably isn't going to be a major problem for the park. The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World was also alcohol-free from its opening in 1971, but in 2012 that changed when the Be Our Guest restaurant opened and began serving beer and wine with meals. Today, every table service restaurant in that park serves alcohol, and it hasn't appeared to have made a dent in attendance. Also, by keeping the booze inside the restaurants, there's less of an issue with guests who overindulge causing a problem for everybody else.

Quite to the contrary, it's almost certainly made a positive impact on the park's bottom line. Alcohol is expensive at Walt Disney World as well as at Disney's California Adventure, and the profit margin is good. There was really no way this change wasn't going to happen, there's too much money in it. The writing was on the wall. Besides, the version of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Walt Disney World was always going to have adult beverages, simply by virtue of the fact that it's located at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Now there won't be anything one version of the park has available for guests that won't also be at the other place.

Part of what makes Disneyland special for so many is the way that so much of it has remained the same over the decades. Walking down Main Street today feels the same as walking down it years ago. However, Walt Disney was the first to say that the park would never be finished, as additions and changes would always happen. Bob Iger thinks it's time for this change to take place. The Disney and Fox Merger Finally Has A Closing Date

The Disney/Fox merger has been drawing nearer, but its finally come time for one giant studio to swallow another. Disney has officially announced that its $71.3 billion purchase of 21st Century Fox will close on March 20. Jiminy Crickets!

After the House of Mouse received its last major approval from regulators in Mexico, the company announced the formal date for the closing process, per Variety. The deal between the two major studios is certainly a huge game-changer for the entire media landscape and will officially start taking shape next Wednesday.

Walt Disney Studios will soon have control over Foxs film, television studios and cable channels, including National Geographic and FX. Disney will also obtain Foxs 30% holdings in Hulu, in addition to its own 30%, giving the studio a 60% majority share and own 39% in European satellite company, Sky. However, Disney was not approved by government regulators to take over Foxs regional sports channels since it already owns ESPN.

Disney will also assume over $13 billion in net debt from Fox ,and the merger is expected to prompt as many as 4000 layoffs in positions that overlap between the two companies. The inception of a new entity of the Fox Corporation that will include the assets that will not be part of the Disney deal will also launch in line with the closing date of the Disney/Fox merger.

The closing of the deal could be good news for Marvel fans excited for the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to potentially be part of the same family as Disneys MCU. Some of Foxs major franchises such as the Alien, Predator, Kingsman, Die Hard and Night of the Museum would also be under Disneys new umbrella and could potentially have a presence in Disneys theme parks in the future.

Fox joins Disneys holdings just as the company gears up for the launch of its own streaming service, Disney+, later this year, which is set to include every film in the Disney library along, as well original movies and television shows from the Star Wars, the Marvel universe and more.

Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger has reportedly taken a pay cut in light of the merger, as a $500,000 annual increase to his base salary and $8 million increase in bonus was agreed to be eliminated from his paycheck though his approximately $15 million salary still stands as one of the highest salaries for a media executive.

Disney is heading into perhaps one of its biggest years ever as three big live-action remakes, three MCU films (including an impressive $455 worldwide opening start for Captain Marvel over the weekend), two huge animated sequels and Star Wars: Episode IX are coming out, along with the opening of Galaxys Edge in the parks. The closing of the Fox deal only expands this. Mickey Mouse means business and perhaps world domination?
